I got this game because I had heard from a friend that it was a good game to play with those people who are not hardcore gamers. This game has no ultimate death penalty, there are puzzles and action alike. The game rewards teamwork and encourages creative thought, as well as playing through some of the great movies of my childhood.
Not a big deal, but worth noting. The game is far shorter than Lego Star Wars (which was really 2 games merged into 1), and just didn't feel quite as creative to me. Lego Indiana Jones is reasonably fun for what it is - an easy family friendly adventure game that lets you play through the Indiana Jones movies. Still, decent overall.I have the PS3 version. If you like the Indiana Jones films (the first three), and liked Lego Star Wars (which is a better game in my opinion), you'll probably like this as well. While the main story is fun to play through, going back through in 'Free Play' mode lets you get to new areas and collect all the stuff you missed or couldn't get to before. If you're not interested in doing that, the game will be pitifully short for you, and probably isn't worth the money. There are a couple irritating moments in the game - even if you know what you have to do it doesn't seem to work quite right or it's frustrating to actually perform the necessary actions. I enjoyed this game and Lego Star Wars enough to pick up Lego Batman as well (which I have yet to play). I imagine I'm in for more of the same with it, which is fine by me.
If you played Lego Star Wars, you basically know what to expect from this game. There is more of a focus on puzzles more than straight out fighting though. But since there's no real difference between this version and the PS2 version (except better graphics) I'd save the extra money and just get the PS2 copy. There was also a couple times where a lego needed to complete a puzzle would disappear when dropped and I'd have to start the leve all over again.
While I haven't played this game very much, my kids (ages 6-10) are entralled with the game. The graphics are good and the theme follows the movies quite well. There are quite a few puzzles that challenge the kids all of which they enjoy. Great game for two player simultaneous play.
This is a pretty good game. However, its not cannon. Lots of puzzles to solve and action. It's fun for all ages, unless you're a baby. Lot's of things happen in the game that don't in the movie, so that kind of ruins it. It's like the game takes place in another dimension then the real Indiana Jones, so it didn't even really happen.
